After putting the ring on (or just picking up the ring), you see that your hand is now sparkling clean too. Everything within 4 inches of the ring becomes cleaned to a high standard. Once the ring has moved out of range, any surface it affected reverts to its previous state, but any filth that would have been acquired if the ring wasn’t being worn does not appear on the wearing hand.
