Mercenary

One sellsword or hired adventurer is against the party.

Dodgy Ally

An ally doesn't support the party in a time of need, but doesn't necessarily backstab them.

Honor

To complete the adventure, the party must go back on a stance or a word.

Bystanders

To complete the adventure, innocents will have to be caught in the crossfire.

To complete the adventure, an adversary of the party will be forwarded directly.

Long Form

The party must perform some downtime activity, such as building a magic item or creating a stronghold.

Wildspace

The voids between celestial bodies.

Slaves

Sad as it is, they're a commodity in the era.

Alien

A member of a nonstandard humanoid race, such as Giff or Hadozee, is willing to help, or is getting helped.

Faction

An entire interplanetary group is against the party.

Incoming disaster

The party becomes aware of an incoming problem that drags their attention from the adventure.

Backpedaling

To complete the adventure, the party's goals will be reverted or harmed somehow.

Persuade

The party must convince someone or something to start, change, or reverse their actions. Talk them up, essentially.

The rainbow colored void between spheres, which are the equivalent of systems.

Awakened Object or Creature

A sapient object or animal is willing to help, or is getting helped.

Natural Phenomena

Nature and its workings are against the party.

Damned if you do

The party's goals are suddenly opposite the path of the adventure.

Discovery

To complete the adventure, the party will draw unfriendly attention to itself or something else.
