Character Creation Loot Generator

Even first level adventurers have had experiences before the start of their first session. While typically this is covered in their backstory, having some sort of random trinket or memento can help expand a character's history and the player's improvisational skills. How did they get this object, was is looted in a dungeon, given by a mentor, bought in a shady bazaar or given as a reward for a minor service by someone with no other means to pay?

This generator creates an sample of five trinkets, curiosities and loot, pulled from a wide list of other tables (See below) that is meant to provide the player with some items to encourage engaging roleplaying with perhaps a minor boon to the odd dice roll. The generator is meant to be used by character's of Level 1 or higher at character creation to help them with ideas of what their character have been or have done.

For DM's: In terms of actual use, this table will roll 5 items. I recommend that when your players create a character, this generator should be rolled 3 separate times to get three different sets of 5 items. Then you as the DM or the player can pick one of the three sets of five items to have as additional starting equipment. This process can be done when the character is finished or before the player even rolls their stats.

This Generator rolls from the following types of tables:
-Books
-Minor Magic Items
-Minor Magic Weapons
-Necklaces
-Rings
-Sealed Glass Vials
-Trinkets
-Unique Armor
-Unique Weapons
