A rock slide obstructs the path. The party members must make an athletics check of 14 to climb over it, be helped up by someone else, or find another path.

There's a large chunk of flint in the mountainside. It could be worth something if there was a way to move it.

The thin air can make one dizzy. Everyone in the party must make a constitution saving throw. Anything below a 13 results in nausea.

A friendly mining group of dwarves have climbed the mountain as well. They're searching for new veins of minerals.

A hill giant hides near the path, ready to ambush anyone who comes through.

Rams on the mountainside butt heads with each and bleat loudly.

Rain comes down and makes the mountainside hard to traverse. Every 120 feet traveled, the group must make dexterity saving throws of 13 or higher. If they fail then they slip on or down the rock.

There's a small cave in the mountainside. It's home to Roll 1d10+2 goblins who are hostile to intruders.
